Hi, anyone knows where i can get a harlequin shrimp?

Fed up with these little white starfish eating my zoas.

i used a blue linkia starfish to eat the asterina starfish after reading this thread

Yup sustainability for these amazing creatures long term is very difficult. I had 1in my 500 liter tank. I thought I had a plaque of asterina stars 2 weeks later they where gone

I seen a pair at wild on pets in greenstone yesterday afternoon

I had on two occasions a pair of Harlequin shrimps. They clean out those little pest asterina starfish quickly.

Sold the pair within 6 weeks from getting them.

Hi everyone, I got one this weekend and will see how it goes. Once the asterinas are gone, I will most likely sell him, but it is such a cool little creature!

However, I cannot see myself harvesting legs from starfish to keep him fed.
@RiaanP, how did you catch them?

They are slow. really easy to catch. Even when I had a pair in the old 750L tank, it was much easier than anticipated to take them out. Just wait until shrimp is towards the front of the tank and catch them with your hand.

He has tried all the legs now but cannot get the starfish off, will see tomorrow how the evening shift went.
