Stirrer has a motor built in the top for mixing the kalkwasse.
However you add your top up RO water is how you get flow through the unit:
    1) gravity head
    2) small peristaltic pump - AM top up unit uses a 3L/hour unit.
You basically plumb this unit in line to your auto top up system.

Best to run these units on a timer. you dont want to run the stirrer motor 24/7.
It has a rated life that works out around 2 years if you run it constantly.

I've got mine set so that it runs approx 6 hours per day, more than enough to get enough ro top up into my system.

The AM instruction manual states the motor has an approximate lifespan of 10 000hours. I'm sure they do last longer than that.
