Eish, you need to get yourself a test kit!
Any pics? What lighting do you have? What size tank?

Your xenia and pin cushion is doing better because they can handle a bit more "dirtier" water. Lps is a bit more difficult to keep happy. And they need proper lights to flurish. Need there stuff like flow etc. But i will stop there for now. Dont worry, i made the same mistake and killed my lps frags. Exactly the same reason as you. No test kit, bad lighting etc. There are various kits available. Try and stick tothe tried and tested. Salfiret is good aswell as red sea. Good luck.

Do you do regular waterchanges? How long has the hammer been in the tank for? Softies are very forgiving - infact if they are thriving then thats most likely a sign that you have nitrates. What livestock do you have? Tank size? Sump? Lighting? Flow? Do you have a dosing regimen? How long has your tank been running? Id lean towards the fact that your KH is low coupled with a few other issues - possibly flow, lighting, nitrate levels...need info to help

Without a decent picture it is not going to help much to give advice. The coral could have brown jelly disease which is common and a fast killer if left untreated. What hammer is it? Is it a branching hammer or a single skeleton?
