This is not a hosting anemone. Yes, they can be white and healthy.

    Is it photosynthetic?
When you say its not a hosting anemone, does that mean it will eat fish?

    Yes

It can, but it is not typical. There have been rare reports of clownfish taking to this anemone, and later being eaten by this species. Letting this species host clownfish is not recommended.

was always under the impression any anenome that is white is sick,

So it could trick the clown into hosting in it and then randoml eating it-freaky.

    How big do they grow?

Out of all of the 10 hosting anemones, it is true that a white anemone is not a healthy anemone. This is not necessarily true for the other 970 (possibly more) species.

They can grow up to about 30 cm in diameter.

The anemone doesn't trick the clownfish. It's more like the clownfish has entered into a forbidden zone and the anemone, being the opportunistic eater that it is, may get hungry enough (or irritated enough) someday and have an expensive dinner.

lets just hope that the nennie is never hungry enuff to eat the clown.
So is the BTA anenome the easiest of the species to keep and also the safest?

How do u place/mount the haitian anenome?will they just float untill they happy even if it lands upside down.

The BTA is the easiest of the hosting anemones. Out of all the other species, I'd say aiptasia (a pest anemone) is the easiest.

Place the anemone foot side down in the tank and it will attach itself where it wants once it finds a comfortable place. Make sure all pumps and intakes are anemone safe.
