nay it's an aptasia try and get rid of it as it is a pest and will spread quick

As the previous poster said, Aiptasia, a common pest anemone that can reach plague proportions if left to spread. You need to get rid of it asap.

Prob not the best way to do it. If you left any bit behind it will grow back.

i read up on my poor choice of removal. what if spores are left behind? will closely monitor. thanx all for the valued input.

You could try to inject a bit of vinegar into the hole where the aiptasia was or if you got kalkwasser maybe make up a bit of kalkwasser paste and plug the hole. These guys spread like wild fire and by pulling out with tweezers.....
