    Hi all,

I am on a month leave and saving up for my first marine tank. In the mean time I decided to go snorkeling and see what is in our local waters. Been enjoying Umdloti rock pools. My Mrs always comes with but she gets a bit nervous in places.

So which other spots are good for snorkeling. I see some guys mention Umhlanga, but where about? Water always looks pretty unforgiving.

Lastly any good tips for snorkeling? We stick to low tide or about an hour before.

    Been loving it so far!

    Cheers,
    Erick

Vetchies Pier ... In front of uShaka .......Umhlanga on the left of the lighthouse ... does get abit rough at times .... Ballito, Sheffield, Thomsans Bay .... BTW welcome to MASA .... Also remember patience is king in marines so snorkel all you want but you got like another 2 months wait after you set the tank up before you introduce living creatures in your setup ....

Ballito is nice, but very empty. In terms of hermits and snails compared to Park Ryne.
