My red goniopora is looking rather tired, no dying off, but the tentatacles are not extending all the way. All my water parameters fine and have just renewed all my T5's (gradually, not in one go).
Have read that iron is essential for this particular coral. Any suggestions on who makes/stocks a good supplement?

The reds and browns are actually fairly easy IME. I've got a brown with white center species that has grown from a 2cm frag into a 10cm x 10cm colony in a year. No feeding or supplements.

Is your alkalinity stable? Mine sulks if the alk drops.

Perfect. Just keep it stable and don't let it drop anymore. In the ocean the dkh is like 5-6. In our tanks we want to keep it at about 8-10.

Mine is on the sand, I tried two previously on the rock work and they got brown jelly. It gets the same light as my clam and both do well, if that is any indication of lighting requirements. I feed my fish above it and switch off the pumps while doing so, I think this delivers food to it. When I had shrimp and used to target feed, they used to pillage the food and I suspect they harmed it, it therefore spent more energy repairing itself than it gained from the meal.
I have never seen any response in varying the Alk. Mine has swung a bit over the last year, between 7 and 11.
