    They are not as hard as made out to be, had mine for 2 years
    Now that food is available its easier, reef paste from d &d or goniopower from two little fishes

    Make life easy for yourself and get a red one. They look better than the green ones and are wayyyy hardier. I haven't fed my red since I got it but it has regrown over the skeleton that it lost in in month. My green has been fed every second day but I cannot see much progress other than it being alive.

    Thank you I went out and got the food. Will see how long I can keep it for. Hopefully also more than 2 years.

    I do but the only one that I currently have available is when it was fussing for what ever reason. I will get an updated pic for you later today.

    You can see on the top of the coral where the skeleton was showing, this has subsequently been overgrown with new coral growth.

    I have a pic of a red one in my tank thread on the first page or so. Look for marius's 5ft reef under the large tank section. Will link the pic if i can but not sure as i am on my phone.

    Got my second one now. Got it for two days and he opens for about an hour in the morn and then closes. Been giving him goniopowder but still it's a fussy little thing!

    @Barend
    He is doing well. Thanks for asking. I moved him around the tank about four times and I think he likes his spot now.

    We have them abundance near my place here in Q and all over southeast Queensland as well and we try to copy the conditions they live in. The food thing is the most important, they are very easy, and the last time I kept some they grew onto the glass. You would be amazed at how they live and thrive as well in the wild, they are so tough it astounds me.
    There are some in here; these are down the road from me.
