I just would like to know if the glue we use on PVC pipes would be marine safe? I have a couple of spacers i would like to glue to my tank and wasn't sure if the glue would bond to the glass and if it would be safe.

Wouldn't the glue be safe if its dry or would the toxins remain the same?

PVC weld is fine to use, as long as the glued pipes are dry before you connect them back up to the system. It will only join pvc to pvc and wont work on glass.

Its for my CLS, the holes at the base are a bit big. I want to use silicone but i am scared that when i have to rotate a nozzle or something that the pipe would pull out or at least cause a leak through the movement. I know silicone is flexible but i would just like to cover all my bases.

For a pipe going through glass your best bet is using bulk heads. These are your only sure way of not having any leaks.

I have bulk heads on. The problem is I bought the tank with all its fittings etc. I will take pics of the bulk head, spacer and hole difference. I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem just cautious.:)
