There is a glass cutting tool that was featured at the Pietermaritzburg Royal Show earlier this year. It's called the World Tool. It can cut glass, tiles, carpets, your fingers, etc.
They are made in Germany if I'm not mistaken and you get it in different package options.
I do find the tool on google, but not who sells it here in SA.

    Does anyone know?

I've got one and they are unbelievable, I've cut wavy pieces of glass 5mm wide in 3mm thin glass.

Will check my packaging tonight and let you know the contact details.

My opinion? I am sure this thing takes stones out of horses hooves as well! Gimmick! I cut a lot of glass.
    Wouldn't touch it.
    However maybe I am wrong!
Go to www.bohle.de to see what serious cutters and breakers are all about.

I saw this thing in action in front of me, not on TV, and it's actually more than I need. I'm not a professional tank builder and want a cutter for the occational modification or to build a small refugium or so. For the price(R150-300) and the 5 times I'm gonna use it per year, it will do ;)

If thats all you want a R29.00 cutter, a straight edge and a bottle of turpentine and a paint brush will do.
I am not being a smart ass about this, its serious advice. You can cut easily to 10 mm, as long as you are not cutting 10 mm strips less than 50 mm.
Just slosh on the turps. Use plenty.

i've also seen it in action, hence the reason I bought 1, You can never do what this thing can do with a R29 special! he cut 12mm glass 20mm wide and about 40cm long like a hot knife through butter.;)

    OK, phoned them

The tool by itself with all the attachments(different blades) - R400
The box set (tool plus spare tips, oil, dvd etc) - R600

If the money is in their account, they'll ship and you'll have it the next day ;)
