Hi all I am selling my T5 54 watt x 8 Giesemann Unit. I have upgraded to LED.

This is a excellent high end light unit with individual reflectors and split up in 3 sections so you can add 3 timers and start globes up at different intervals.

4 Globes were changed in November and 4 in Mid December all ATI Globes. Asking R6000. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1421757999.649225.jpg

Just removed my post...Don't want to cause a stir...

If I had the $$$, I would grab this when I saw it the first time. Obviously at a lower price...lol

    No worries.

I am selling at this price due to the new globes.

I am also open to offers.

quick question - this will not sufficiently cover a 1.8m tank would it?
Also, does it have a splash protection (you bought it separately on the original Matrix unit).
Do you know if these are dim-able?

    Tnx

@Nsteyn my dad runs one on his 1.8.
All his corals are in the centre if the tank though. Nothing around the side.

Tnx riaan. Would a 1.2m LED unit sufficiently cover a 1.8m tank? Excepting that you would probably not be able to have sps on the very corners ?

yes, depending on the lenses, that is a 300mm overhang on both ends. Will have shading issues.

Sorry Chris for derailing the thread somewhat.
