    Howzit Guys...

I have a few aptaisia that popped up int he past month or so...

Most of them are on rock at the bottom of the tank.

I hate putting my hands in my tank, havent done so in a few weeks...

What can i use to kill the aptaisia?

    Thanks
    Ridwaan

Unfortunately not much options if you want to keep your hands dry. There was a laser that someone showed off somewhere recently. There is also the majano wand, @Tiger eye could give more info.

Else you are stuck with vineagar, joe's juice, aiptasia-x but these are 'hands-in' options.

Hi hi yes I got a majanowand from PaulB. This is a prety cool device and works well but it takes a lot of time and when the aiptaisia is under the LR you will stil have to put you're hands in the tank to turn the rock. There are a lot of places on the net that will ship to SA.

Our factory is turning out Mini majano wands now that will be ready in a month or two. But you really have to put your hands in the water with these. They are for those hard to get majano's under rocks.

Or get a Chaetodon Xanthurus butterflyfish. All my aptaisia is gone. He has left all my other corals alone except for some green palays which he decided to take a liking to. I removed this coral. He is a fat bugger and eats fish eggs, freshly hatched brine shrimp and absolutely devours mysis.
I have soft corals, torches and frogspawn. Obviously it is hit and miss with these just like copperbands. Quess I am lucky :))

HI @RidwaanI simply use 2 diffrent diameter conduit pipes (lenght determind by your depth) ie. 1 must fit through the other and a syringe thats gonna be tight fitting on one end of the larger diameter pipe , basically creating an extension of the syringe, target the aptaisia with the fully loaded syringe fitted tightly into 1 end of the larger pipe while using the inserted thin pipe on the other end to push onto the syringe to release the medication. This method works for me on my 750 mm deep tank . NO WET HANDS .

It will be longer than a month I think. I know they are working on them but bringing new items on line is time consuming but they will be out soon and should be easier to ship as they are less than half the size of our present model.

But you'll need an aptasia farm to keep them alive.;)
