:) so having spent the weekend hunting for a better priced Boyu TL550 120 liter tanki could find one.....
I am after a tank with a curved front coz I got a young daughter and sharp corners won't work. I've been to Jungle Aquatics, Wild on Pets and Exotic Aquarium in Boksburg.

Anyone know we're I can fing a brand new Boyu 120 liter tank in Johannesburg ?

I am eager to get cracking with his new adventure....

Any specific reason that made you lean more towards the BOYU and not the AQUARIA..? Just out of interest as I'm sitting with the TL-450(58L) and knowing what I'm now experiencing with my BOYU...I wouldn't have selected the BOYU...narrow and tall is a bummer with Aquascaping..would've prefered wider and shallower...just to mention a few...

I almost went for the AM102 but it didn't come with a stand.
That was the only reason I went for the Boyu over the AM 102...

Needed a self standing stand to match. If I didn't mind sharp corners I would have gone for a Red sea.

My BOYU stand started leaning towards one side after a few months.....so I ended up having a stand made...I was so worried about the Tank Stand giving way that I went thru a serious case of sleepless nights...I was worried and stressed the whole time..

Thanks Belinda. Can I send you a pic of the stand this Boyu has and let me know if it's the same stand you had issues with?

To the best of my knowledge, the TL-550 is same as mine...? Plywood...? Water gets absorbed over time and thats when it goes "faulty"...I think the newer 550 Stands are different...? This is mine...was mine, I should say...
