Very nice Barend. They are awesome. Would love a small cube for them one day. Hope you can find some that take prepared foods.

I found one in a cape town lfs, it was sold. My fiance fell inlove with the bugger, is it a creature you can safely add to a reef tank?

If you have a very deep sandbed for them and no aggressive boisterous fish it should be ok. I personally would only keep them in a dedicated tank where you can change the tank environment to suit their needs.

I think Barend have the ideal setup for them if He wants to place them where I suspect. How big an escape artist issue do they pose?

They are reef safe yes, but they need very deep sand...like 15cm deep to house them correctly...they are very good escape artists...I speak from experience here. They also need decent flow past there holes in the sand as they pop out of their holes like waving grass and catch food particles that go by.

They are common enough on your LFS lists, think its the Indo shipments you should look at...they are relatively cheap as well...R200 if memory serves me right.
