So im busy watching oprah winfrey and its all about waste, and i see the most shocking thing ive ever seen.

there is a garbage patch that stretches from california to japan with certain parts that have garbage thats 90 feet deep just solid garbage. Will do some more research on it later and add to the thread.

Yes it was Jacques Coesteau grand son that showed the video clip on Oprah. It was for World Earth Day. There is a rebroadcast tonight at approximately 00h30.

the sad reality is, its in human nature to destroy, especially collectively, along the lines of mass histeria etc, and we want to go to space to destroy the universe :)

Yeah i was really shocked after i saw this, im still busy doing some research on it. Like i found out that there are even things like fridges, however that gets there.

another shocker is that before this was all made public crew ships used to throw their things overboard wich is sick. At least it seems like they doing something now

It is a sad reality that this will never go away.. infact it will just get worse. We still take our shopping home in plastic bags.. whatever happened to this being banned.. all that happens is we now pay R50c for our bags where they used to be for free.. the pick n Pays of the world just make money off us now instead of the Gov insisting that the use of bags be outlawed once and for all..

It makes no sence, but we do it anyway. Go to Toys are Us to buy a toy for your kid.. there is only plastic there.. these toys last about a week on average then they head to the dump.. yet we teach our kids to buy shit cos they want it.

The sad reality is we are all guilty and the only way it will change is to amend legislation surrounding manufactured goods.. HA, fat chance.. screw the environment when job losses may actually factor into the scenario.
