This is the SSS version (super space saver) and has a bubbleblaster pump. Forgot to add that.

Dimensions : Height is 62cm, and footprint is 28cmX22cm

What is the height of the outlet?
Or the maximum depth of water it can stand in and still allow water to exit?

    Thanks Blue Reefer

The top of the outlet is at 24cm from the bottom, but if you still have water in the chamber at a greater height than your water level you will still have water flowing out so its greater than 24cms.

water level in first chamber is 31cm. And not in the mood to rebuild the sump. and cannot raise the skimmer.

That's a shame. Is your sump stand low?

Stand is low yes. Tank itself is 750mm. so the rim is at 1.75 already and originally the tank stood in a lapa section and had to fit under the beams.

620mm is the max height available. And that is more than enough for the Aquamedic shorty skimmer. Only reason why I want to replace the skimmer is because it got 2 pumps, one feeder and one circulation. That would save a little bit of money due to electrical consumption. But spending more than R5000 on a new skimmer to save less than R50 a month does not make sense. Like 9 years before I would realize any return on investment.

Need to pull out my skimmer this weekend and confirm the power ratings on both pumps. And compare that to the pump on this skimmer. Do some maths

What is the power rating on the pump?

The pump is a HY-3000. Rated for 40 watts i think.

How low can you you go? How long did you use it for and how long has it been sitting for?

I'd like to stick on my price, as I already lowered it from my original price before I started the thread. It depends on your offer. Its about a year old and its been dry for about 3 or so weeks.

That's a lot less than what I'm asking for, which is already a good price. Can you come up some more? Meet me half way?
