    Hi guys,

I am selling up my system (posted on the general marine sales forum), and I have sold just about all of my livestock other than this sea hare and blue lobster.

This sea hare has been a very interesting specimen in my tank. He's basically like a big John Deer lawnmower, cruising around eating any algae (and even cyano bacteria) in sight. He's not going to win any beauty contests, but he's peaceful and pretty interesting to watch.

Check out this link below for more info:

The article says that these sea hares can release a purple dye/toxin if attacked by fish, but I've never seen this in my tank (as he's never been attacked), but I did have to mess him around a bit when moving the rocks yesterday when I sold most of my fish, and he just carried on regardless. So I think he's have to be really attacked to react in this toxic, defensive manner...
If you have very little algae in your tank, I would suggest supplementing his diet with lettuce/cabbage/nori etc, he also seems to like the lobster/crab pellets I put in for the inverts

this is an urgent sale as I need to close down my tank by this Friday (1st March)
