    @sergio ,can you explain how it is connected with a separate charger?
    I am interested in the 2000w inverter but have no idea how to connect it and what other parts I would require to get it working?

    @Ridwaan you will need a deep cycle battery which will power the unit.size will be dependant on the load wish to pull and for how long. For example I have a 102ah battery.
    The longest time I tried running wave pumps,return and two lights (24w T5) only was 12 hours.it could have still gone on for longer.
    I use a solar panel to charge my battery along with solar relay so as to not over charge the battery.however,you can buy a charger that plugs into your wall.
    So all you will need is a charger,a battery and cables.
    @sandersc I dont have a spec sheet. It all comes down to what you want to run and for how long. This will determine what size battery you need.

    To give you an example,with a 102ah battery I run my return pump, tv (lcd) and dstv decoder for 3.5 hrs

    Sorry about all the question, if you have the batteries connected and the power goes of, does the inverter automatically kick in and turn off again when power resumes or do you physically need to do something?

    @sandersc its not a problem
    you can buy an ATS (automatic transfer switch) which can make change over a breeze.
    however I currently have to physically swap over plugs.
    what I have done is I have set up my system in my garage. I have run an extension cord from the inverter,throught my ceiling down to my tank. When the power goes off I just plug my tank in to the extension.
    I am by no stretch of the imagination electrically inclined,but I must say that this is very basic. Its like wiring a plug with two points,you cant go wrong. Theres only a positive and a negative.
    Charger to battery and battery to inverter. The inverter then has 2 plug sockets to use as you like
