I'm interested in getting a tank, will this be good a first timer. What else would I need?

This tank would be good for starting out, but it also depends what you are looking to do...
The lighting is good enough for some soft corals, not anemones or sps...
Also remember that less water means things can go wrong a lot quicker...

One of my kids stepped on the skimmer body, so you would need to get a nano skimmer for it as well as a heater.
Then some filter media (I used some sponge, active carbon and nitra guard... Also phosban occasionally when needed...
Then you would need approx 12 - 14 kg live rock and about 100l of water...
I also had 2 additional Seio pumps for more flow which worked well, ran them off a second wave controller...

I do have someone coming to have a look this evening, if they don't take it you are next in line... Will let you know...

Thanks Paul, I'll let you know. I just need to decide what I really want.
 
You mentioned the skimmer is broken, is this something that is easy to get?
Also would I need a special size heater or is this something off the shelve?

The skimmer that comes with these tanks is just an air driven one, they should have them at wild on pets in greenstone, and not very expensive... There are also good quality skimmers that fit the tank, but obviously cost quite a bit more...

A normal off the shelf heater will fit, there is a dedicated compartment for this, I used a Jaeger 50W when it was running...
