This is quite Bleak that you haven't managed to sell this yet. Eish !!!

I am gonna try and sell my Aquamedic Spacelight shortly and mine is a 3 * 250W MH 6FT.
I think I am also going to battle now :( because your unit is at a good price considering the bulbs are almost new. except the 1 obv.

With the introduction of top performing LED into the market Hailides have seriously dropped in price

Yeah, bet you some guys are left reeling! Those who use LEDs will be in the same boat in a few years time.

Agreed its all about timing, get in at a good price once prices have come down and get in before they become obsolete! I got out of hailides just in time!

This is the sad reality. Seems I'll have to hang on to this unit as it's not selling.

Unfortunately you'll have to do better than that.

    Put this in perspective.
    This unit uses max 716W

It can cover a 1,5 meter tank by 1.2m wide easily. Saw the same unit on a tank last night that is 1.5 by 1.2. For that tank to use Vertex Illumina SR360 I reckon you need the 1200mm and 2 of them. They are 384W, so in total 768W. Price on the Vertex, ask TSR for a quote

Power saving is not the real advantage. Take into account that the 250W MH globes will only be on max 5 hours a day. Having the T5 on a dimmable ballast is another nice feature. That will give you the same sun rise and sun set options. Globe replacement cost is a factor.

Starting of in marines on a big tank. I would seriously suggest going for this light unit. Even with replacing all the globes. Rather spend the money on the best skimmer out there.

Offering R1000 on this unit is a joke.

What would be a reasonable offer for the unit?
