Im sure everyone has had non-aquarium people make stupid/ridiculous/annoying/i-want-to-punch-you-in-the-face comments regarding their prized tanks.
Ive had the usual "Wheres Nemo", "It it saltwater", "I like your shrimp" comments but over the weekend i heard one that left me speechless.
My uncle came to visit and was rather impressed by my collection of corals. My uncle is a well educated man and grew up along the coast so i assumed he would appresciate what i have acheived. He stood in silence staring at all the vibrant colours, watching everything sway in the flow. After a while he uttered the following....
"I really like those ones".....and pointed to a rock covered in Aptaisia.

    (insert facepalm smiley here)

Sand in the sump, I understand , like a pool filter unit, water flows through it, no problem... And walks away knowing it all. Girlfriend at least stood still to hear the "flow across" part.

Hahaha, even your aptasia rocks didnt get cred! Thats priceless. Seriously. How can someone choose aptasia over those ridiculous rics you have.... pathetic!

My least favourite is "awwww, shame, where's their anemone!!?"

at least now they are hosting the xenia... so thats stopped.
