from nsw to salt mix

    Hey guys.

    Is it possible to go from natural sea water to a salt mix with ro without starting from scratch?

    Start using it for your Normal water changes.

    All the usual apply, use a good salt, goo R/O from a trusted source etc:peroni:

    Yes, absolutely.
    Agreed, best to do it this way instead of one big change so as not to shock the system.

    thanx guys. will definitely change. Ive been struggling with algae no matter what Ive tried and however much money ive spent trying to rid it from my system.and ive spend alot.So now Im gonna use a good salt mix. hope it works

    What have you tried and if ur system is new then you will probably need some clean up crew like hermits - snails to mop up the extra food.
