Please help. Last Saturday I places a frogspawn into the sand in a low flow area. The next day I noticed all the green polyps started to shed within a few days this is all that's left.

All the other coral seem to be doing fine it's only this one.

I have a Kenya tree near by that seems to be doing well [IMG]

unfortunately that coral is dead... did you acclimatise it properly or did you just put it straight in the tank

Maybe one of thee guru can give you better advice, but it sees like that is a goner, was there a brown like substance that's formed on the head at all? I just see the skeleton and no fles left? I do know that you can't put them in to heavy flow as they get injured againt there own skeloton.

from personal experience ive learned that torches, frogspawn etc like low to medium flow and definitely not flow that is constant from only one direction and they like lots of light

in my opinion there two things that might've gone wrong or even both
    1) you did not acclimatise the coral properly and the difference in the salinity killed it
    2) your water parameters are way off

    What are your parameters?
How was it handled and transported? Their sharp skeleton can cause serious damage to the tissue if its not handled properly

From what I can think, those corals took a bit of a hammering from the tank it came from, by the angels. I think too much of stress moving them, killed them. Frags went into five different tanks including mine. None of them survived.

without a before pic, it is what it is, move on, try always take a before pic, it will help in times like this, it could have been dying before you bought it

Welcome to MASA @MouseMan. This was happening to my hammerhead when I had a banner fish in my tank. Got any fish that make food out of coral?? Also too high flow causes it as well

The are that it's places in is the lowest flow in the tank, the fish I have don't feed off it but the person I foraged it off had angels feeding off it.

Often happens to Euphyllia. The stress of moving tends to give them brown jelly infections, especially if they're already damaged. Not much you can do about it. Acclimating them slowly seems to cause even more stress. I just put them straight in.
