So finally the time has arrived for me to start up again ... so excited !!!

    Aquarium specs :

    Display tank

    1200(L) x 550(W) x 600(H)
    Waterlevel 550
    Coast to coast overflow
2 x 40mm drains from the display to the sump
Overflow chamber would also serve as a trough for growing some cheato

    Sump

    1200 x 45 x 35

    3 x chambers

1st chamber : Filter sock and skimmer
2nd chamber : DSB with liverock suspended over sand on eggcrate and caulerpa
3rd chamber : Return pump and reactor for Phos media and carbon

    Equipment

    300 watt heater
3 x 12 volt 120mm brushless fans mounted over sump
    controlled by a STC1000 controller
    skimmer : DNW200 skimmer body
OTP2000 turbine pump with pinwheel impellar
    Modified venturi (10mm air intake)
*The air intake is quite noisy so I made a silencer for it out of some 50mm
    PVC pipe .

The reactor is of yet undecided as I Have 2 to choose from and also I am not sure about the media I want to put yet

Flow in the DT is made with a Jaebo WP40 and 2 SUNSUN flow pumps

Lighting For the DT is made with a DIY LED unit (cree 3w and 5w chips and meanwell drivers and Typhon controller) , as well as a 3 x 54 watt T5 light unit

I want to keep Zoas and SPS , mostly but we will have to see as things progress

So the tank came out of storage over the weekend and after a lot of driving around I found a 40 mm glass dillbit at builders in De la Rey road . It was an old unwanted tropical tank and stand I got from Sean . Thanks @Snoek . The sump I bought from David at @Perky pets when he shut down an old display then modded to suit my requirements

I removed the "extra" glass I deemed a waste of good real estate and gave the rest of the glass a good wipe down . Not to bad for a first attempt at drilling glass if I might say so myself ...
