Frag Turning White

    I got this frag just over a week ago now the tips are turning white, is that normal ??

    could it be growth? or is something nailing the SPS?

    it is standing on its own, there is nothing near it

    is it not perhaps positioned down current from an agressive coral?

    Good sign that, called growth tips. This is where your new growth is going to come from, from the pic the coral looks healthy.

    Watch those tips if they dissappear and start looking like the rest of the coral I use it as an indication that one of my parameters are out normally alk or cal.

    I wouldn't worry all looks good, good polyp extension, nice light colour and growth tips its all cool.

    thats a good sign.love it when my SPS looks like that.sorry for hijacking,but i have a red plate monti frag from niresh,noticed the growth pattern has changed from what it was.is this due to flow direction?and its growng pretty fast

    Could be due to flow, light anything, as long as its growing.

    cool alan so i guess no stress then as long as its growing and the colour is there its doing well?
