[wtd] Frag Racks

    Does any of the sponsors sell frag racks ? Or know where i will find some?

    I saw the guys use eggcrate and the frags have those fragplugs that fit into the holes of egg crate...
    if that helps

    Yeah i saw it too, but thought that there would be ready assembled ones? See thing is...i worked with pvc weld over the weekend and lets just say i still have the burn marks to prove. Then tried super glue last night and now the tip of my fingers feels like sandpaper.. (in my case i will put that into good use....*grin*) So yeah DIY is not for me....unless you offering to build one?

    Lazy bones:tt2: I build mine with eggcrate & clear cable ties or glue magnets to the eggcrate.

    @MistaOrange ....clearly i will end up with glue on my fingertips once again...but hey gonna give it a go...so now where to buy these eggcrates from? I dont need a whole sheet !!!!

    Old Sun Sun magnet, egg crate and some cable ties... all good to go

    @Zandy Not if you wear latex gloves but you don't need to wear them anyway if you work neatly.;)

    bahaahah:) funny, we and super glue in one sentence and add neat to that...hahahah. Well i will try some ideas, so where do you find the eggcrate???

    Ok i already see a latex glove drifting inside my tank...talking bout gloves i cannot find those long gloves anywhere to buy either....sigh..PS @MistaOrange where is the agree button situated..??

    Electrical supply stores like ACDC I think they call it egg crate diffuser not sure but they should have a catalog with pics

    Ok here is a thought, will a guppy breeding tank (one of those plastic ones (perspex) that float with a magnet glued onto it and holes drilled bigger work, that way i can protect the frags also from now being in too much of a flow???:p

    Can be done but those frags need flow.

    Hi there, we do frag racks, they are very nice clear acrylic, the only problem is there only hold 12 frags and they are blindingly expensive @R480.00 eek :-(
    I guess the clear acrylic doesn't come cheap ?

    Can buy the "captain salty's" racks off ebay....works out just over R200 bucks....looks exactly the one above...

    This place sells eggcrate and their around the corner from Edenvale.

    I just cable tie mine, and my skimmer is standing ontop of it without any issues....... yet.
