Hi everyone

So the forum has been running on the new software for the last 5 or so months.

Is there any feedback on problems, issues or things you don't like?

Also, is there anything missing that you liked on the old software? Or anything we don't have that you would like to see on the forum? Please feel free to make any suggestions, comments or criticisms, thank you.:)

If you add pics using Tapatalk from mobile by taking pics and not uploading from gallery, it puts the pic on its side.

Just for example.
If scrolling through threads and come across a for sale thread, you can't see where the person is based Be4 opening the thread and if they don't post it on there sale you have to go into there bio to see where they're based.
The old still you'd see " For sale........ Jhb.... "

The forum automatically rotates pics except from Tapatalk, there is nothing we can do with Tapatalk unfortunately. Your best option is to take photo's with your phone the correct way...:D

I think we can enable this again, I will have to try it out and see but I think it will involve having to fill out a form instead of the normal thread, which shouldn't be too bad I don't think, we can trial it for a bit and see how it goes. Although Tapatalk users will bypass this completely, like it does everything else on the forum. I hate Tapatalk. :p

OK cool.
Just helps with the sale thread, seeing if the sale is applicable to you if it's in your area.

Your not the only one I hate taptalk myself.

If a thread goes past the twentieth post, and you got post 21 on the next page. At some point we had a "show more" at the bottom. Selecting that opened the next few posts directly at the bottom of the current page, without opening the next page.

TOTM, last entry was Sep 2015, is there any reason why we can't have them more regular?

What we could even do is instead of someone going out to take pictures and obtain info on the tanks we could have the person/user fill out their own submission for tank of the month in a pre-categorized/questioned/pre-layout form on the forum for them to fill out, if they get selected they then are audited, just to make sure for example: @RiaanP doesn't go out and take pictures of someone's tank and posts it as his own?

Just a joke Riaan, we still love your work... ;)

just a thought?

make this a forced field on both user profile and all for sale threads, going forward on user profiles you can have a screen that pops up advised to update details as well so everyone needs to change or add it even if it is correct it can be retyped, this will also help determine the amount of active users, if you don't already have that in place(which I assume we do, or the forum does).?

Maybe also include willing to ship or not.

back to top button, or have the menu bars under the forum logo move up to the top of the page and become locked?

possibly even have the navigation buttons as a locked or floating button, locked at the top or bottom of the page.

This has kinda been implemented, members are now encouraged to add their location when filling out a form, whether or not they actually do it is up to them, lol, we can't currently force the option of entering a location....yet.:p

That doesn't exist unfortunately.
back to top button
We have this already, bottom right of the page. It's just one more scroll of the mouse to get to it. :p

This is an option we can look at.

I noticed when in the 'live feed' screen that the alerts are hidden behind the search bar when the page is scrolled to the top. Overall, cudos for the changes, really makes thing easier.

I've been fiddling with the search box a bit and noticed that too. So I stopped fiddling with it. :p You may have to refresh the page.

How about a rant and a rave section. We can give feedback regarding good or bad dealings.
