I was thinking about a moment in time & it being infinite

which means the duration of a second is infinite in fact any duration is infinite

You can divide a moment infinitely in fact any area, space or number can be divided infinitely

    How does time move forward?

nice one, but you have an error in your calculus, lets break down each sentence

a moment in time is finite, but time is infinite, so therefore, your moment is well that moment...

duration of a second is finite, a second is a second, not more or less. a duration is also finite by the grounds of your referal to that second.

yes u can divide by infinity, which yields an answer of 0, think of limits -> 0, the more u divide the closer to zero u get. dont confuse this with dividing by zero.

Time is a scalar quantity. And any interval of time is also scalar. It has magnitude only. Time has magnitude, but is not considered to have direction as such. Time, though it can be "tricky" to deal with in quantum mechanics, is generally thought of as moving "forward" and generally cannot move in another direction.

    hope this helps, hahaha

& we know space is moving as well so is time space?

Is a second finite? if there is an infinite amount of time in between a second?

The next question to is time? is it real? or just an idea? or set of rules?

time moves regardless of space, time and space are very different to spacetime.

time is a scalar measurement of events between specific occurences, its all relative :)

The speed of light is faster than the speed of sound, that's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak... :whistling:

is that is true a second is finite how many points can we have between seconds? another question how many slices can we have in a circle? is a circle finite

now all remember if you think about this to much you will go crazy like the rest of the brilliant maths minds of our time

like some of the best minds have said before some times things are just like that - not everything can be worked out.

some problems never have an end or answer, it's knowing & understanding this when working on problems which leads us to staying sane

I agree, hence why I moved to quantum mechanics and planar physics, very
    Interesting

Vatso - I am so glad that you appear to be brilliant. Please apply this to reefkeeping and assisting other people as well? ;)

I for one don't think that wasting the little bit of brain energy that one is dealt in life, is worth trying to work out such variables.

There are just to many variables in life, for us to try and spend energy on trying to find values to fit into the variables.

BTW: That said: think about the following:
Facts are only facts because someone was able to convince enough other people, that what they believe in, is true....... other than that - everything else is just nonsense! ;)

And I thought, I can understand english. English is stupid. For every english word, my translator comes up with around ten results. I have to pick the right one, who should fit in the sentence. Holy kak. And the english say, German is difficult.:whistling:

so if gravity can bend light that means I can speed up & slow down light depending on where gravity is!!

Both - light travels in waves, but light is actually made up of particles.....;)
