    Hi guys and girls.

Im going to be starting up a small cube in a month or two.

Really like the look of a complete floating reef. Nothing touching the bottom of the tank.

How do the guys do this? Any hints or tips would be great.

Was im thinking, correct me if im wrong.

Silicone 10mm supports on back and one side of cube, then cut and shape rocks to silicone on the supports and back glass.

    Could this work?

most of the guys, iirc use magnets and countersink them into the live-rock and then also have the opposing magnet on the back of the glass outside the tank to hold them in place.

Would need some serious magnets for that.

Make a glass shelf halfway in the tank or just under half way attach it to the sides or back or whatever and place the rock on top of it . it does not need to be thick even perspex will work and it will just blend in with the rock once alge starts growing on it

I like the idea of rods into overflow box. My cube has a built in sump at the back so can maybe do something similar

I think you should use very light rock artificial like glass fiber or something

I have a few pieces of that purple Real Reef Rock. Will start playing around with what i need and keep the weight in mind at all times. That stuff is nice and light.

Interesting, I see the one guy comments he should plumb his return thru there, no chance of flooding with my built in sump at back of tank so might look into this adea.
