Float switch atu vs optical atu

What's your views on the two..which is better..ie less chance of failure and which is more reliable?

I have never used a optical atu..anyone use one?worth the extra cash?

Got the Tunze 3155 with Optical and Float Sensor which prevents overflow. Deadly accurate and even works in a dark cabinet! Its pretty much the best one according to on line literature
