    Good Morning,

Anybody who can tell me whether Flatworm Exit is the best way to get rid of flatworm on my blue mushrooms? I have read that the dead flatworm can be poisonous - so how if I move the infected mushrooms (as they are on the piece of liverock) and place it in a separate container and then add the flatworm exit? Then as soon as they are killed place it back in display tank (just to ensure that no dead onces go with the schrooms back into the tank!) Any advice will be apprectaited.

    :(

This Thread should answer you'r Flatworm questions..:)..Freshwater Dip seems to be out of the question w.r.t. the mushrooms on the LR...Flatworm Exit would probably be the way to go...

Ro dip works well. I had a huge problem with flatworm. Mushrooms dont like the dip! All mine recovered. Had them on my green hairy mushrooms.

If the flatworms are localized to your mushrooms, rather take out that rock and dip it. Iodine or coral rx will do the job.
Flatworm exit is an excellent product, but some livestock are a bit sensitive to it so rather use it as a last resort.
Not all six lone wrasses will eat flatworms.

    Flat worms

    Hi Grennie,

I have personally used flat worm exit and it worked very well however I removed all my corals and dipped everyone separately using a fairly strong iodine solution with salt water as i was not prepared to risk them. As soon as the flat worms are exposed to this solution they come away from whatever they are holding onto. Good luck with the flat worm war it seriously annoyed me when I had them in my tank.

    Jimbo.

P.S- if you are going to use it make sure you have allot of water ready for a large water change afterwards.

    Hi,

Thanks for all the feedback. I got an Iodine dip from my lfs and gave all the mushroom a dip in a separate bucket (that was on Monday). So far it seems that the flatworm is gone and my mushroom are doing well.
