    Also read mixed reviews about if he nips your corals. Guess its up to individual fish.

    @Daryl Norton

    What is your experience with these fish? Do you find them to be quite hardy or are they prone to whitespot like the powder blue tangs?

    Havent had one of these and would love to get one.

    i was given my first one back in 1998, it was one of the first in the country due to me being very good mates with an importer..

    sadly i was just not equipped to keep it even thogh the tank was very mature (3 years old) and full of coral..

    i later got given another which did exceptionally well, softies and LPS were the in thing and the fish flourished, i dident mind the odd nibble on gsp as i had millions in my tank and the flame along with a potters, multispinis, bicolour , biospinosus and a jumping bean cropped it back but not too much..

    kept together they were model citezens with an established hierachy and very little squabbling..

    centropyges are my favourite angel species and i intend to replicate what i had in this 4ft in my 1.8 which is currently under construction.

    habitat is of extreeme importance to these fish if kept in numbers and the more cover the more you will see them.

    Feed them well and im almost sure it will leave your corals alone also let it nibble on something the all day(nori on a rock/nori on a clip_

    iv been burned twice with these..1st one I had in my FOWLR did very well...tried to add one to my reef tank..was eating flakes then suddenly went dull in colour and died..got another one and it did the same..read up on a disease or similar symptoms online..seems sometimes flame angels contract some sought of bacterial infection and just die..known as Flame Angel disease..seems it was still in my system after I lost the 1st one in my reef tank which then infected the 2nd flame I added a few weeks later
