    Hi

Does anyone know what fish these are? They look like really cool schooling fish.

    Thanks.

Surely that still doesn't apply if you add a "pair" only..:confused1:...I did a search last week on them and it stated that all should be introduced "all-at-once"...and that Thread you posted basically say's they "probably" "off" the Newbies at night...surely that wouldn't apply if it's just a pair...it's my understanding that they are very "hardy" and thus I can only come to the conclusion that they "off" one another...or do you come to another conclusion as to why they die...I just can't think why it would "drop dead" for no reason...especially if they are "labled" "easy and hardy"..:confused1:

remember all info regading livestock in the trade is from experience, what happens in the ocean is very different from our tanks. the dynamic changes when you take a fish that has a 10sqm terriotry and place him in a tank, so if he dislikes his mate they swim away, now they are confined and turn on each other. so saying just pair doesnt mean they are compatible, what if both are males, not all fish are gonochoristic, change sex, although most are.

Thing is I want a school, not a pair. Maybe I'll try a different type of fish instead, these ones seem to be fairly nocturnal as well, which is kinda pointless. :p

I found out they are poor Shippers...could that contribute to them "dying" or would they infect the who tank if that was the case...
Lyretail Anthias (Pseudanthias cheirospilos / squamipinnis ) and Blue Eye Cardinals (Apogon leptacanthus)
