fish got stung by torch

    hi guys
    my royal gramma got stung by my torch coral looks pretty banged up
    was wondering if u guys had any thoughts on whether or not he was gona make it ?
    he's lying at the bottom of my tank behind some rocks at the moment .
    he's moving but not too lively?
    any thoughts would be appreciated.

    the best thing to do is to put him in a darkish container within the tank, preferrably drill a few holes in the container and let him recover..

    thats what i have done in the past with fish in distress and its worked for me...

    he has a 50/50 chance at this stage if hes still alive...

    thanks for the fast response .
    well he's alive at the moment a moving every now and then when the shrimp goes near him .
    I think I might give the dark box a try . really don't want him to die .
    he's got a bad sting on his eye tho that's worrying me cant tell for sure tho if its he's actual eye or around the eye.
    most of the stings are around the head .

    Common sort of problem when you mix Caribbean species with Indo-Pacific species. Fish doesn't know what the coral is, so it gets stung. Clownfish often get eaten by Caribbean anemones for the same reason.

    well if my gramma makes it thru this .he'll definitely know not too go near the torch again.
