Does anyone have an application, or know where to find an application which can be used on a PC which facilitates most fish, Corals nd Invertabrates in an informative chart based application, offering you information about the various specimens and also their compatibility within a marine tank?

I have seen a few applications for touch screen phones and iPhone etc, but not much said about PC applications.

One can google info for sure, but why do that if there is a pre-existing application which is potentially a masive time saver. I have found sometimes googleng compatibility between species not too successfull.

Not sure about an actual application no, but if you want a compatibility chart of fish, here is a cool link...

    http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/compatibility_chart.cfm

I personally think that EVERYTHING in this hobby must be approached with "caution" rather than use a chart. What I mean is, yes, in a 5ft setup a lionfish will eat your chromis, but this is not to say the same will happen in a 10ft tank for example... Understand what I mean?

Now this is where Google and many other forums like Masa plays a role to get many different opinions and experiences...

An example is that a book will say i.e that suncorals are only to be kept by experienced reefers. Even though there are some truth to that, they do not elaborate much on why... I have found suncorals not more difficult than any other coral, just the opposite - BUT, with enough reseach done, I know how to meet it's demands...;)

Thanks Jaco, I will have a bit of a "google" tonight and see if there are any applications which do the trick, even if it turns into a continuously updatable system where we could maybe have the latest files on MASA for a weekly update download or something if needs be

I have that one, great for a phone, but not so much for PC, although I do use it on my PC.

I am looking for a PC speciffic application, something built for a computer, not for a phone, iPod, smartphone or other hand held gizmo's...
