It's been 14 days since Daddy seahorse gave birth to 426 hungry fry. He has just given birth to his first warning baby. Daddy has been captured and placed in the nursery so that his babies will be safe from the pumps.

I wonder how many he will have this time! :whistling:

Most don't get the majority to survive. Those that do can be sold to locals, retail stores, or wholesale.

There are threads already posted here with pics of the fry. Here is one: http://www.marineaquariumsa.com/showthread.php?t=16301

I'll get pics of this batch after he has finished delivering and they have been counted and moved.

Michael, the flight is the cheap part, I forgot to add he has to pay for a sitter for Grandma and the fry!

He's big, but I don't think he is as big as the last time. He's doing a pretty good job of hiding his belly from me! Brat!

No worries Peter! I'll get pics as soon as I can. I may actually even remember to put the memory card back in the camera BEFORE I snap a bunch of shots!

He's still holding the rest of the fry!

I am quite glad that I am not the one to give birth, I am REALY gratefull for that.

I have been intreagued to start up a Sea Horse system but just haven't got the power in the spine to just do it - I am too scared of failure I think. I want to learn a lot more before I do it, the tanks are all sitting here and waiting to be used - I just got to do it.

What is your secret to being so successful with these little guys Anemone?
