    Hi Guys

I have just got a 2nd hand nano TL 550, Bought with live rock and fish (2 clowns and royal gramma) from a nice family.

I previously had a 5ft and 4 ft which I shutdown due to no time, so for my little one I got a little nano for us to work on.

Any advice or recommendations is welcome. Any frags also welcomes ;)

    Hello and welcome.

Sounds like an existing system. It should stabilize quickly after the move. Just wait for the mini cycle to complete before adding any more fish.

And the clowns do not need an anemone. Please do not buy one. The standard lights on a nano anyway is not sufficient. Maybe for a bubble tip, but no.

wekcome to masa:) great to have you join.

thats a nice looking tank you have but it looks rather bare of life for an old system thats been moved. It looks like you have the startings of GHA kicking in so i would suggest not adding anthing to the tank untill it stabalises over some time.

Do you have an RO unit and do you know what the tds is? Id also suggest adding a bacterial product (special blend from microbelift would be my personal choice) so as to get the bacterial population up and help consume Nitrogen in the various forms. I would also look at running a phosphate remover in a sock in the back section.

cool ... no ro unit, getting water from lfs. will check this weekend for the bacterial product and phosphate remover ... GHA was with the tank, will stock up slowly ... would need to find a 2nd hand skimmer that works properly, the current one isn't that good.
