    Hi All,
I joined up some time ago but have been a bit slack with posts. I dedcided now was as good a time as any. My set up is a little unorthodox as I rum my systemoff a cannister. It would be great to get some feedback on this as most of you have sumps. My set up is as follows:
    • Tank is 1500x590x700
    • Filtration is a Via Aqua 750 cannister with Bio balls, live rock & carbon
    • Water flow internally is through 2 x Seio flow pumps and 1 x Sun Sun vibration pump
    • 2 x heaters. Temp around 22 to 24 degrees
    • Lighting is 3 x powerglo fluorescents and 2 x actinic blue T5's
    • Skimming is a macro Aqua skimmer which is attached externally to the wall next to the tank. Had to gippo a bit with this one.
    • Substrate is aragonite
    • Water parameters I am unsure of because I don't test. If it looks OK and everyone inside seems happy then I assume my water is cool. I do a water change every 2 to 3 weeks and top up with bottled mineral water from the supermarket.
    Here are a few snaps.

    welcome again :)

    looks awesome!

what ever changes you make, remember to do them very slow as you dont want to upset the system to much with all the livestock there

I have no plans to change the set up at all. No drilling required.

    Hi Thommo! Welcome back!!

Nice setup there! I have the same skimmer as you! Glad that some one else has 1!! Thought I was the only fool to buy a Macro Aqua...but it does work well for me! Great live stock...so when are you fragging your Bubble tip Anemone?!?!? Got dibs on it!!! Really cool!!!

Sorry for the confusion. I'm not changing to a sump. I just wanted feedback on my system as it runs off a cannister. The NORM seems to be sumps.

As for my bubbles, should be soon man. The bottom one is a monster.

i think your system looks great, my only addition would be some cheato/refugium to remove nitrates etc from the water but seeing that everything is flourishing, why change whats working for you

Really nice looking tank Thommo.

I take it you've had the anemones for quite some time, cause I havent seen any healthy bubble tips come into East London for ages...or are they from Boomer? :p
