    Hi

Today is my first day of owning a marine tank after 30 years of fresh water tanks.

Just a bit of help, please. I have a Boyu TL 550 which I think is a 120litre tank. I currently have two clownfish, two goby's and one blemmy. How many fish is ideal for a tank this size?
And, what type of fish can I keep with the current fish?

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Jeremy, Welcome to MASA.

Have a look at this thread for stocking :
Nano Fish Listed By Tank Size - Marine Aquariums South Africa

Did you take over this tank as a running system from someone else?
If It is a brand new "out of the box" tank, It is really recommended that the tank go through the cycling process before adding any live stock...

I basically have the same inhabitants in a 80L Nano - 2 clowns, 2 clown gobies. Still looking to add my blenny in the near future.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the link.

It is an existing tank that I took over and I love it.

    Can't sleep.

    Still staring at it.

In terms of fish you are probably at the limit of what the tank can comfortably manage.

Are you planning to keep corals as well?

Nice. Do you have anyone helping you with the tank and giving you advice/support?

Can you post a couple of pics?

What type of clowns do you have?

If Ocelaris or Percular, then you can get another small fish or 2 in that 120L. Other clowns tend to grow a lot bigger and then you will be on your limit.

Tather let the tank settle after the move to your place for a couple of weeks. Then check again. A Bangai Cardinal perhaps?

I would like to know what is the name of the coral that the clowns are swimming with?

Also, heard bad things about the white and purple tipped sebae anemone behind that. Is this anemone really that bad?
