    Hi All,

HELP. I finally have managed to get a CBB that eats AND eats aiptasia BUT my yellow tang is giving him a hard time. I've tried moving the rocks around but to no avail. Will this behaviour get better over time?

    Cheers
    Jason

Give the tang something else to fight with i.e. himself in a mirror. Stick a cd on the side of the tank so the shiny side points inside

they should settle after a couple of days.

But start now to train the CBB to eat frozen food like Mysis. Else once aiptasia is gone, he will starve. First feed flakes etc, to fill the fish that eat like pigs, then give the frozen food. Give CBB time to see and think about eating the mysis before other fish eats them all. Just check against overfeeding and your phosphate levels.

    Thanks Riaan.

Actually what I am thinking of doing is separating the tank with some eggcrate to help the fighting - this will have a the added benefit of target feeding the CBB

    Thanks!!!!

Ha ha that cracks me up, I got a CBB last week, not eating aiptasia but my YT also harassing him. Mainly at night before all the room light are off. I've tried the mirror thing but both the CBB & YT drop the squabble and turn on the mirror. Quite odd. I'd also hoping that they'll settle in a few days.

    Now to get him eating???

live brine also does the trick, then sneak in frozen mysis as well.

    Ok guys,

Good news - my CBB (still eating aiptasia) ate frozen brine from the water column on Saturday eve. YAY!!!!!!! - he took about 6/7 bites and seemed to like it. Will try mysis on wed (only feed frozen foods twice a week).

Just a note to others. Up until now he has not been interested in any prepared foods AT ALL. However, he does eat tiny floating aiptasias out the water column. It has been about 3 weeks since he's been in my DT for him to take the frozen food. Just be patient - and it all seems to come together. I think it definitely helps to have natural food for him in the tank - pods, fan worms, aips, etc. I think were it not for these he may not have made it.

So all round a good story and hopefully a long and prosperous life for my CBB ;)

    Good luck!
