Been trawling the forum for answer, but have yet to find anything definitive.

From googling and Reef Central, consensus seems to be feeding about once a week. Marine Snow ok?

Big thanks to Adee for the Palys! Opened up within half an hour under my lights, mouths aren't flourescent green yet, but can see the green starting to come out

I had paly's right next to suncoral a few months back, and I fed my suncorals twice a day at that time...

Everytime I fed, the paly's ate. They eat anything... I think if you have a large enough colony of them, they would actually consume a Sperm Wale!!!

You can feed them mysis, brine shrimp, cyclopeeze and then yes, your filter type foods too like marine snow etc. but I would suggest mixing the filterfood with larger foods like mysis or brine (depending on how large your paly's are...)

I have seen these softies catching pods even

I'm sure they'd go crazy for a nice meaty seafood mix that's gone through a rough blend tho. I've read so many threads on feeding zoas and paly's and as of yet seen any evidence that feeding really makes much difference to growth...

Niel, i have to manage my feeding very tightly in my nano, basically hand feed and any stray flake that gets past the 3 clowns instantly gets nailed by my shrimp. Nothing gets thru to the corals. What I'm saying is that paly's can more than meet their needs by photosynthesis

Hi Neil - palyzoanthids get's their nutrients from the water, and from the zooxanthellae in their cells, which changes the nutrients to energy for the palyzoanthids.

Agree with the others, no need to feed them but you can if you really want to, however, if that is all that you have in your tank then don't use marine snow as you will just pollute your water.
