    Hey guys.

Firstly I dunno why I couldn't post this in the forum feedback and suggestions forum.

Anyways, I was just wondering how do we go about giving a user rating? Most members hardly have any rating at all.

I think it would be good having some feedback scores.

    Hi @Ebi Omer,
If you are referring to the rep bar (green, bright green, orange), those reputations are earned whenever someone finds your post valuable, and clicked the "thanks" button under that status bar.

More often than not, you will find that new members does not have that much reputation, since they are still learning, and not yet contribute to the pool of knowledge.

However, with that being said, you can have a new member who is an old hand at marines, and only post insightful posts, and have a higher rep than an old member only lurking in the shadows and not participating at all.

But, If you are referring to the feedback score in the classifieds area, that score is given to a seller by a buyer, when a buyer is happy with a purchase. This is also done on a voluntary basis, and not compulsory upon completion of the sale. Most people prefer to rather say nothing when a bad deal was made, than to give a seller a bad scoring. Also, people who are more active in the classifieds area (as sellers), tend to have 100% feedback scores.

Hope this clarifies? If not, ask again :)

This functionality exists however it could be improved a number of ways to increase its effectiveness.

I generally ask people to provide feedback in any sale or purchase they engage with me on. However I think it's only happened once.

The navigation and the prompting to leave feed back could be improved. However this is a forum not just a commercial sales site. So we shouldn't expect the same feature toolset that's available on those sites here.

However, perhaps there is a way to improving visibility for 6-12 months and improve the navigation and awareness of the section.

Not sure how easy it would be to do those changes. Forum software basic components are still a package, but with a lot of smaller add ons and tweaks build in over the years. @viper357 would be able to say if that part can be changed.

But any system at the end of the day is only as good as the people using it. If both buyers and sellers do not use that feature, it will be of no use for other future buyers.

Spot on, thanks Carlos. I have just changed the phrase slightly to read View/Submit feedback.

Or, when in the sales forum, simply click on the underlined number, 0 in most cases :p and it will take you straight to the page where you can leave feedback.

Agreed, any idea's? I have put a link to it in the Navbar, I have made the text bright red under the avatar, I'm not sure what else could be done? I'm very open to suggestions. :) Another issue is so many people using Tapatalk these days, it's impossible to incorporate these things into Tapatalk.:(
