Falcon's Kitchen Nano Reef,taking it slow....

    ok just some pics will update once a year after this lol...
    oh yes and the date on my cam is wrong this was only set-up six months ago not last year.

    this was in the very begining only fish a tomato clown and a royal dotty back.no corals snails or hermits...

    ok now added two sps frags and the live rock starting to bloom(taken from my big reef where the wrasses and tangs raped it lol amazing how much was waiting to come out from deep inside after four years!

    metal halide mounted high, temporary test after i installed the hang on back protein skimmer,i've now dropped it to +-10cms again

    Thanx falcon it looks really good it could help alot of these nano guys if you could give us some specs of this tank, more in detail like how much liter how much kg of rock, what lighting what moves the water and so on...... Ha ha im sounding like a pest now

    via aqua doing its job skimming whatever little dirt there is in the tank...mostly algae fueled by the phosphates deep with the rock ....

    supplimental energy saver phillips 6500k 14w as the 20000k MH is too blue for me:p

    this little sps did not make it past four months unfortunately(rust poisoining i suspect was the culprit:( was half purple half yellow when i got it....

    hey there i'm just a nice little macro algae caulerpa patch allow me to and i'll take over your whole damn tank,which it did!

    Lol jacques sorry for what?dont be shy to pass a negative comment i love mistakes being pointed out as i may have missed it...
    Will update the specs etc later for you guys.
    Hmm i dont even have enough time for 3tanks lol doubt more will come just yet unless i retire soon haha

    haha lucky she dont make rotis eish i'm surprised actually its a good thing its in the kitchen she's also started taking a liking to the tank,i've been trying to get rid of the tomato clown and get a normal small percula instead but she doesnt want me to get rid of "her" fish:biggrin: and now shes starting to say things like the tank is too small:thumbup: i see a cube in my crystal ball :slayer:

    ok so now that the pics are up and done here are some specs....

    Tank volume:42lts(skimmer adds 3lts)

    Filtration:Via Aqua hang on back skimmer,chemi-pure elite,in-tank dsb,live rock.

    Lighting:150W Metal Halide 20000k globe,14w phillips 6500k energy saver supplimental lighting.

    Flow:1x1400lt powerhead(cheap brand) to be replaced by seio M250 or equivalant.

    Current livestock:

    1x bicolor angel
    1x tomato clown
    1x blue legged hermit
    1x pink/purple poccilipora
    1x green hairy mushroom metallic
    1x metallic green frogspawn (1head)

    thanks man,funny thing with my bubble algae is that its been in my big tank(which is where i took these rocks from) for the last four years but its never been an intruder i get max 8 bubbles in the entire 680lt tank :) i dont ever remove any.
