    Good day!

I've decided to move some of my "frag farm" post to a new thread!

I've started to make some fake rock a while ago!
First it's cured in fresh water for 10-12 weeks. This is done to get PH levels down...
After this it's moved to the salt water tanks.
These tanks got some LR in them, which I now use to seed the new Rock!

Very very nice indeed. Good on you. May I ask how you made it and what you used to make the shapes with??? I used different types of aragonite as well as white cement on mine, but, I need to make one huge pinacle

    Thanks - Yip.
I'm just using sand to mold and form the rocks - nothing special really. Almost like pottery :)
Then used cement (portland) some crushed coral (not that much) and spaghetti ;-)
I'm still playing around with different techniques to get it better!

Thanks - the bosai's are my dad's hobby.
He started to make rocks and shapes for the bonsai's about 10-15 years ago!
I've picked up his techniques, and used it for the marines. I've made some rocks a while ago for fresh water tanks - worked like a dream!

    Thanks!

    Yip. :)
They're doing very well in these tanks - using sunlight ;)
    They grow like a weed!

    You may ask.
But Sjoe...I'm not sure how to explain how to do/make it...

I use the cement almost as one would use clay - then just be creative with your hands..I just use the sand to "support" my "clay" figures...
    Hope that this make sense...
I'm terrible in trying to explain this.....

Next time - I'll take some pics - hopefully it will make more sense then...;)

    Sorry...:(
