Hey Guys.

I want to make a external algae scrubber for my tank as i have no space in my sump. The scrubber will sit level on the floor next to my sump. So my question is will i be able to hav a pump from my sump feed straight to the algae scrubber and then have another pump back into the sump. Will this work and would i need 2 of the same flow pumps?

If one of the pumps fail, power down, you are in deep water.

I suggest you raise the scrubber so that the bottom end of the unit is above the sump and let the water flow back into your sump. You will only need one pump for this.
