So for years we have always known a calcium reactor to need the following components:
But what if i told you we can remove the probe and controller and feed this with a precision peristeltic pump? thats the basis of the calcfeeder pro.
in laymans terms - as these things do seem complicated at first glance. the calcfeeder pro works on an optical sensor positioned in a chamber in the reactor this then communicates with the unit and assesses waterlevel which if it rises to a certain point triggers the Solenoid to pump in more CO2.
Ok so nothing really fancy about that? seems simple enough?
But add in the peri pump and onboard touch screen display and we can now dial in the amount of effluent we want to to get from the unit and set our alk / cal levels according to this effluent passing through, esentially completley manipulating the co2/effluent contact time.
Typically we have removed the probe (which has a lifespan anmd can become faulty needing calibration/ ongoing replacement etc and a bubble counter.
but we now have more controll over our alk and cal addition.
as an added bonus the calcfeeder pro can also be used for addition of precise water addition to dentitratoes and sulphur denitrators.
making this a truly versatile little gadget.
