Hi All

Got my self another tank(1600 x 750 x 750 skinny overflow) after i quitted early last year(hectic work schedule and my base that crakecd final nail in the coffin).Anyways here is some pics.

Filtration my old RO5000 int skimmer.

dsb + 70% man made reef rock and live rock

lighting 8 x 54w T5's

Pumps 2 x koralia 12500lph

return pump halea 5000lph

I reckon t5 is underrated. There are some really cool large SPS dominated tanks that run on T5.

I am planning on going softies, lps route as i just dont have the time for sps dedication should i also dose cal;mg; and kh?

I am running lps and softies in my tank that is of similar size than yours. One can get away without dosing ca, mg and alk by doing waterchanges. it should be enough to keep the corals happy, but im lazy. i find it easier to check the parameters once a week and dose were neccasary.

You have a great set up there Esmond, for me LPS looks so much better in a reef tank and there movment adds to teh look.

Morning

Ffs found my Flame angel dead and 95% of my sps got rtn badly, temp is sitiing at 40% how is this possible as my room temp was no more than 32% lastnight.

Eish bad luck...

Inside my house was 29 last night at 10.
My nano sitting at 27.2 and the big tank at 26.8. Opened the sumps up now. and All doors and windows. With today's slight breeze the house will not be 29 again.
