    Hi all please help

I was an idiot last night and placed some calcium powder on the hood of my tank . Without thinking I opened the hood and bloop in the sump it went

In total it was about 2 maybe 3 table spoons in a 250 l system

This morning when I left for the airport all seemed fine in the tank

What should I do to rectify the problem

I rely don't want to loose any fish because of my stupidity

Well it all depends at what level your Ca was sitting at. Best is to do few waterchanges. Dont think you will loose fish but if it shot up to over 500ppm there might be an issue. Did you test your Ca

Unfortunately I was not able to I will do a 100l water change as soon as I get home and test the parameters after

Think it is time to invest in a dosing pump

Well first test the parameters and then work from there. At what level was your Ca sitting at before the incident?

Doing a close to 50% water change can sometime do more harm than good, well in my case it was...

You can break it up say over 2 or 3 days the 100l waterchange or 20l in the morning and 20l in the afternoon...
