    Hi Everyone

Brilliant site ! I really want to start a salt water reef aquarium but I have some serious concerns around power outages. Maybe a generator will be have to be my first purchase.... I've so much reading to do. Once again many thanks for such a very professional and informative site.:)

Welcome dude! Start reading :) .. Do you have lots of power outages and are they long or short? (generator vs UPS)

Hi, you don't necessarily have to fork out for a generator. If you buy TUNZE pumps, you attach a safety connnector (6105.500) to a 12V battery and if the power goes off one of your pumps can still run, keeping everything alive until the power resumes. Cheers Anita
