this is the culprit - ate my largest clam in a day :(

Hi DZ. You sure the clam wasnt on its way out dude? I have kept my Emperor with Clams and he never touched them. The only time I noticed him eat one of my clams, when it was dying due to light shock.

    lol

I see this all the time, where a fish just gets a taste for something and then theres no stopping them, in my case a foxface decided to wipe out zoas overnight

so sad as this is a stunning fish, mine is currently being housed in my drum along with my other fish and pending me not selling him i will have to make a decision as to what im going to do..

i wold have donated him to our aquarium had they been able to better gaurantee his survival but their systems are in poor shape.

@leslie hempel , I cannot believe anyone has not taken your emp, especially at the price you giving away for an adult, it is sad, but let me know if it does not sell in the end, I already have an adult emp, and I don't think you can keep a pair, I would really love to take it. I am maybe setting up a 2.2 m frag tank and might chuck him in there, then when I upgrade to a much bigger tank, I can try the two emps at once.
What about Achillies, Shaun, I don't think he has an emp, try pm him, or Rob DV,

DZ, what about feeding a bit more, maybe the emp got a bit hungry, mine only smaked one coral after they were settled, and that was cause I had hardly fed over a long weekend.

@magman thank you for the help i will ask, moreso than money is the priority of a good home, hence the price, He really is a part of the family and if i could keep him i would. as for 2 emperors in one tank i must say i have never seen this done before to my knowledge in a home aquarium..
